Psychotherapy for moments of transition and transformation.
Make space for the full experience of being alive.

Psychodynamic and depth-oriented therapy for individuals and couples navigating patterns that insight alone hasn’t shifted.

To the outside world, it looks like you’re managing everything perfectly. Inside, you’re exhausted from repeating cycles you can feel but haven’t been able to change.

We are always changing and in motion, even when it doesn’t feel that way. Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, we work with emotional and relational dynamics that shape how you relate, react, and protect yourself. These dynamics often operate outside of conscious awareness.

This is depth-oriented, relational therapy for those ready to move beyond coping and deepen their relationship with themselves and those around them.

Meet Elizabeth Geeslin, LMFT

A bit about me

I started my practice in San Francisco and expanded to Austin, where I now work virtually with clients throughout California and Texas.

My own therapy changed my life. Having someone who was genuinely present and attuned showed me the kind of healing that’s possible when you feel truly seen and understood. That experience continues to shape how I sit with clients today.

More than anything, I’m interested in what it’s like to be you—how you learned to relate, what has felt confusing or stuck, and what may have been overlooked or misunderstood along the way. These questions don’t exist in isolation. They’re shaped by the larger story of your life over time.

At its core, this work reflects how I think about life and change. We are asked to adapt again and again, often holding both joy and pain. I offer a space that holds this complexity while supporting your movement forward with more steadiness, clarity, and choice.

you already carry.

How I can support you

Anxiety

Anxiety can affect how you think, feel, and move through daily life. Nervous system and body-based approaches help your world feel steadier and more manageable.

Depression

You may be experiencing disconnection, numbness, or withdrawal. Learn to identify what has gone quiet, while finding reconnection and greater engagement with your life.

Grief & loss

Whether you’ve lost a person, relationship, pet, future, or an important version of yourself. Grief work can deepen your capacity to feel and remain present in your life.

OCD

Intrusive and obsessive thoughts, along with compulsions, can feel overpowering and hard to escape. Fostering tolerance and flexibility helps to loosen their grip over time.

Trauma

Trauma shapes how you react, protect, and relate to others. This work helps shift hypervigilance, so you can move through life with more safety and choice.

Relationship patterns

Deepen an understanding of your relationship patterns and dynamics while developing healthier connections amid anxiety, ambivalence, avoidance, or longing.

Crossroads

Life transitions and turning points can bring difficult decisions or competing pulls. Compassionate support for navigating uncertainty as clarity and new direction emerge.

Caregiving & parenting

Caregiving can bring a mix of love, exhaustion, fulfillment, and loss. These experiences can be challenging. I offer a space to hold it all and find a more grounded way of showing up.

Identity

Questions about who you are and where you belong deserve your attention. Working together, you’ll fortify and nurture an honest relationship with yourself.

Values & core motivations

Find a deeper sense of purpose and direction. Clarify what drives you and what matters most. The Enneagram is used as a framework in this process.

High sensitivity

You've been told you're "too much." For highly sensitive people (HSPs), we approach sensitivity as a nervous system trait and adaptation, not a flaw.

Body image & eating patterns

Our relationship to food and our body can be complex. In therapy, you’ll explore this vital relationship through somatic and mindfulness-based approaches.

Working virtually

I see all my clients through telehealth.

My clients typically work demanding jobs and live lives that don't slow down. Virtual sessions allow them (and you) to actually fit therapy in: between meetings, during lunch, in whatever quiet space you can find.

Both my clients and I find that the work we do virtually allows connection and attunement to happen as easily—if not more easily—than in person. If you've been hesitant about online therapy, I'd encourage you to give it a try.

Are we a good fit?

How we can work together

I work with people experiencing burnout, perfectionism, and patterns of over-functioning that have become unsustainable over time. Many are managing demanding roles and complex responsibilities while feeling exhausted or disconnected underneath it all. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, parts informed therapy, and the Enneagram. This work takes time, it isn’t quick or formulaic, and the fit between us matters. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and work with people across all identities.

Individual therapy

A space for adults who feel caught in anxiety, overwhelm, or repeating relational patterns. Rather than rushing to problem-solve, we focus on understanding how these patterns formed and how your nervous system learned to adapt. The aim is change that feels more embodied and lasting.

Couples therapy

I see couples across a range of relationship structures who feel disconnected, reactive, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift. The focus is on building a more honest and secure attachment bond—addressing rupture, rebuilding trust, and supporting reconnection over time. I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
